I'm a Principal Environmental and Social Consultant with over 20 years’ experience in environmental approvals and management, advising and leading projects through all stages of the project process. I have successfully delivered environmental and social impact assessments for major projects meeting the requirements of national and international regulations and standards in numerous jurisdictions, often in challenging circumstances. My strengths lie in projects relating to infrastructure, water and wastewater, and oil and gas.

I am able to apply my skills rapidly to different situations, providing the best advice I can, drawing on the wealth of knowledge and experience within Coffey and our trusted sub-consultants. My experience includes key roles on multi-disciplinary teams to deliver projects in Papua New Guinea, Australia, the UK, Europe, New Zealand, and Antarctica, as well as Iraq and Brazil. Recently, I led the assessment and approval processes for major infrastructure and oil and gas (both onshore and offshore) projects, often controversial, including coal seam gas development in Queensland and major new roads in the UK. I've also managed all environmental and social assessments for a multi-billion dollar gas development project located within the Great Barrier Reef World Heritage Area in Australia.

Other projects I have worked on include oil and gas developments in the North Sea, Papua New Guinea and Iraq, airport developments, including a runway extension on the Isla of Man, new river and rail bridges in the UK and infrastructure projects in New South Wales, including across train and gas pipelines networks. I also have experience in environmental strategy and policy development, drawing on my 10 years of working within New Zealand government agencies.

Throughout my career, I have worked closely with many technical specialists to find the right solutions for my clients. I pride myself on being able to rapidly understand the challenges and key issues on projects, effectively applying local requirements, while maintaining a high level of rigour to produce quality, workable and defensible solutions.
